The Opensight Project

To stop censorship and fight misinformation during the ongoing Ukraine crisis, Surfly has enabled access to informational websites that have been blocked in Russia.  This has taken shape in the form of Opensight – an open service accessible in Russia providing access to news that has been censored in the region. We hope that this will enable people to form more informed opinions, and promote thoughtful discussion and debate.

You can use this link to access the website.

Designating what content can be posted online and restricting media outlets jeopardizes the right to receive factual news and authentic debate, undermining the free flow of information. We believe it’s necessary to do our part and protect the right to be informed by enabling free and public access to the internet. For that reason, we are providing open access to our proxy technology.
