Amsterdam, April 17, 2014 – In less than 6 months users of Surfly have created over 100,000 web-sharing sessions. The web service, which allows you to surf the web collaboratively, is rapidly growing since it was officially launched at Techcrunch Disrupt Berlin at the end of last year.
Surfly was awarded “Most Useful Internet Tool 2013” by All My Faves in January and was selected as a finalist at the South by Southwest Accelerator. At SXSW, Surfly introduced its API, which allows companies to integrate Surfly’s advanced web-sharing technology into their own offerings. Different partners are now using the API to build innovative new products, such as real-time online advice tools and video chat solutions with integrated web- sharing.
“It is great to see how the market has validated the initial idea that it should be really simple to share all your actions made on a web page,” stated Nicholas Piël, CEO of Surfly. “There is strong demand for our solution, which allows our partners to build their own specialized products around our web-sharing technology.”
Over the last few months, the team has been working on extending the functionality of the service, to make it applicable for more use cases. For example, it is now possible to share PDF files, 3D graphics and interactive websites based on technologies such as WebGL or Canvas.
In the coming months Surfly will participate in:
- TNW Europe Conference; “Bringing together the world’s leading thinkers, promising global startups and most inspiring brands to do business and share their ideas with the world.” Surfly is selected as one of ‘the most promising startups’ to present their product.
- OpenCo Amsterdam; “The best way to experience and learn about innovative startups up close, personal and in their native habitat.“ Surfly will open her doors on May 15 for the audience.
- NYC Startup Bootcamp 2014; “A four-day intensive introduction to New York City for tech companies from the Netherlands.” Together with 10 other Dutch startups, Surfly is selected to participate in the program.
